The Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) wishes to notify all Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) accredited education and training providers and relevant stakeholders of a revision to its endorsement fee structure. BICA is mandated to regulate and promote the accounting profession in Botswana. In fulfilling this mandate, BICA upholds and enhances accounting education standards, ensuring alignment with both national requirements and international best practices.
Following the delegation of responsibility by the BQA, BICA endorses all Accounting and Finance qualifications and learning programmes to ensure they meet the professional and regulatory standards required for the accounting profession. After a comprehensive review of the current endorsement fee structure, and in consideration of operational demands, industry benchmarks, and inflationary trends, BICA has instituted a revision of endorsement fees. The revised fee structure seeks to ensure that the endorsement process remains sustainable, transparent, and reflective of the level of scrutiny involved in reviewing each submission.
The revised fees will come into effect on 1 January 2026 and are as follows:
1. Endorsement of Qualifications
- Fee: P20,000.00 (flat rate across all NCQF levels) reduced from P 39 900.
2. Endorsement of Learning Programmes

The new fee structure differentiates between qualifications and learning programmes, recognising the varying levels of complexity and review requirements.
