Welcome to MYBICA -E-business Portal
We are pleased to announce the introduction of online membership services through our Membership Portal (MyBICA). Once you are registered you will receive an email notification with your credentials to allow you access to our membership database and be able to:
- Communicate with the Institute online. ( Service requests)
- Amend your personal details from the comfort of your office.
- Submit you CPD return and view your CPD statements
- Pay your annual subscriptions and view your outstanding invoices
- Register for CPD events and pay for them online
- View calendar of events from the Institute.
We are excited about the Membership Portal and hope you will find it exciting as well and take advantage of these great features.
YOUR GUIDE TO A SECURE PORTAL (MYBICA)
MyBICA is fast, convenient and efficient. The attached guide will help answer some of the questions you may have about our new e-business service. If you still have questions after reading the guide please contact mybica@bica.org.bw or call 3972 992 ext. 117 or 121. Since you are already a member of the Institute you do not need to do anything much to register for MyBICA you are only required to send an email to mybica@bica.org.bw with subject matter MyBICA registration and your membership number, an email will be sent to you from mybica@bica.org.bwto confirm your registration and your credentials to logon to MyBICA. Once you have received your temporary password you are at liberty to change it or alternatively you can request us to reset it.
What you should know about MyBICA?
MyBICA gives you direct contact with the BICA department that deals with specific issues hence your services requests would be responded to quickly.
MyBICA gives you access to your data in the BICA database and any changes to you data will be recorded and an email confirmation send to you.

The Joint Employers Forum The Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants in conjunction with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) hosted an Employer’s Forum on the 11th October 2019. The forum geared towards creating a clear understanding of the capabilities and competencies that each professional accounting qualification possesses, the role of professional accounting bodies and how best the employer industry can leverage on these qualifications for effectiveness in the workplace. Also, the forum gave attendants a better understanding of what professional accounting is, a clear framework for recruitment and staff training with regards to professional accounting, as well as interrogate how Government can further create an inclusive environment for professional accounting qualifications amongst others. Statistics from the Institute indicate that to date 4598 accountants have been registered. This is made up of 3215 Accounting Technicians and 1383 Professional Accountants. The BICA membership is drawn from across the different professional accountancy bodies among them being AAT, ACCA and CIMA. The forum brought together senior executives in the Human Resource, Learning & Development and Finance departments from various organizations i.e. Government, parastatals and the private sector.
