Our suit of Qualifications
ACCA Professional – Divided into 2 Parts, Fundamentals (Knowledge and Skills) and Professional, this qualification leads to one becoming a Chartered Certified Accountant. Exemptions may be awarded based on the qualification that one holds. No exemptions are awarded at the final level (Professional). The entry requirements are:
- Minimum: 2 A levels and 3 O Levels
- If no qualifications, individuals are required to be 21 years old and must pass the first 2 papers of part 1 before they proceed with the rest of the syllabus. (This is the Mature Student Entry Requirement - MSER)
- Dip FM complete
- CABS and DABS (UB/BICAC)
- HND ABS (BICAC)
- Degree in Accounting/Accounting & Finance (UB) - eligible for exemptions
- Business related Degree
- Non Accounting/ Business degree
CAT (Certified Accounting Technician) - This is a Technician level qualification which is designed to equip the individual with all the necessary technical skills and knowledge required to fulfill a support role in accountancy. Upon completion of the course one may move directly to Part 2 of the ACCA professional scheme. The entry requirements are:
- Minimum: age 16 years and basic education
DipFM (Diploma in Financial Management) - This is a post graduate diploma for non finance managers. The entry requirements are:
- A recognised degree, higher national certificate/diploma or a non-accounting professional qualification
- If no qualifications; individuals must be at least 23 years of age, ability to demonstrate with an employer’s reference that the diploma will be relevant to your work. If you are self-employed, a reference from an accountant, solicitor/attorney or bank manager will be required.

His experience includes working with Law Enforcement, Attorneys and corporations locally and internationally in the fight against fraud. He’s conducted forensic and security projects throughout Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the USA. He is currently responsible for Exactech operations in South Africa. He has teamed up with training institutions locally where he offers training workshops on issues relating to Cyber Forensics, Forensic Investigations and Fraud Prevention and Detection. Dr. Antonio began his career at Ernst & Young, where he was a Network Engineer, and later moved to head up their digital Forensic Department. In the latter role, he was responsible for the technical team, business development and project delivery. He later moved to join the R&D department at Standard Bank, where his focus was on security projects. He holds a PhD in Information Systems, specializing in Digital Forensics and a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management, with a major in Information Security (Biometrics) from the University of Johannesburg. Additionally, Dr. Antonio also holds numerous certifications in training relating to Forensic investigations from local and international institutions, including the United States Secret Service, Guidance Software (USA) and Ernst & Young in the United Kingdom, Dr. Antonio served for 2 years on the board of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE SA). He also served two terms on the ACFE Utah Board in the USA, where he was a Director responsible for Training. In South Africa, Antonio served two additional terms as a vice chairperson at the ACFE SA Cyber Forensic Forum. He’s a member of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP USA), where he is a regular speaker and an active academic researcher. He’s an internationally recognized author of many scientific articles published in leading journals which includes the IFIP, IEEE & Springer, to name a few.
